Gala opening concert is presented by renowned opera singers Kamen Chanev (tenor), Vladimir Stoyanov (baritone) and the star of the international opera scene Krasimira Stoyanova (soprano). A year ago on an updated historic stage of the Bolshoi she participated in the performance of Verdi’s Requiem with the orchestra and choir of La Scala under Maestro Barenboim.
This time Krasimira Stoyanova and her colleagues act accompanied by the Bolshoi Theatre Orchestra under Bulgarian conductor Pavel Balev. The program claimed hits global repertoire: arias and scenes from operas — «Lucia di Lammermoor «by Donizetti, «Mona Lisa» by A. Ponchielli, “ Il Trovatore «and» Rigoletto «by Verdi, «Willis» by Puccini, «Queen of Spades» by Tchaikovsky etc. Unique footage will give the public the opportunity to hear and those legendary Bulgarian singers Boris Hristov, Nikolai Gyaurov, Gena Dimitrova.
