More than 700 events will be held in Russia in the second half of the Year Russia-Germany, said Rüdiger Bolz, the director of the Goethe German Cultural Center in Moscow on Thursday.
In particular, in the program, there is a number of cross-cultural events to mark the 70th anniversary of the surrender of German forces at Stalingrad. German Ambassador to Russia Ulrich Brandenburg will take part in commemorative events in Volgograd. Also there will be the only concert of the world famous group of 12 cellists of the Berlin Philharmonic in Novosibirsk on March 3 in the Siberian Coliseum.
Russian premiere of the Bach’s oratorio «Passions for Mark,» with ancient instruments will be held in March in the Lutheran Cathedral of the Peter and Paul Cathedral in Moscow, second performance in the Peter and Paul Cathedral in St. Petersburg.
April 20, 2013 at the Moscow Musical Theater of Stanislavsky and Nemirovich-Danchenko will be a grand gala concert with the participation of Russian and German opera singers.
