Stars of ballet, opera, piano art and instrumental music appear on the stage under Diaghilev Festival 2013 in Perm. On the list of participants are Vladimir Martynov, Polina Osetinskaya, Ulfrid Schmidt, Julianna Avdeeva, Alexei Lyubimov, Alexei Goribol, Andrew Goodwin and others.
Among the most anticipated events of the coming festival are the ballet «Romeo and Juliet» with choreography by Kenneth MacMillan, which will be the performance of the festival. This will be the first performance of the McMillan canon ballet in Russia and the second after the Mariinsky Theatre, the reference to his choreography national ballet companies.
The festival is the world premiere of Russian composer Vladimir Nikolayev «Through the broken glass» performed by the orchestra Musits Aeterna led by conductor Theodore Currentzis. The interaction of the composer and conductor was successfully developed for several years; Currentzis already performed the first interpreter of new work of Nikolayev.
