"Metropolitan Opera" Soloist Mikhail Svetlov performs in Ryazan
The concert will feature arias from operas by Russian and foreign composers, Russian folk songs.
Mikhail Svetlov graduated from the PI Tchaikovsky Moscow State Conservatory where he studied vocal.
Famed bass Mikhail Svetlov is widely known throughout the world not only for the beauty in voice, but also for unique scenic skill and artistry.
The winner of the International Viotti Competition (Italy), awarded the prize at the contest Le Monde du Shant for the world premiere of vocal works by Russian composers Sergei Rachmaninov and A.Serov, also he was nominated for a Grammy Award for the recording of vocal works by Stravinsky.
For 10 years he was soloist of the Bolshoi Theatre of Russia, constantly sings in opera performances at the famous foreign stages: Metropolitan Opera (New York), La Scala (Milan) and the Royal Albert Hall (London).
Participated in many prestigious opera festivals, including Santa Fe and the British festival. He performed in the most famous halls and theaters in Europe, USA, Canada — such as Carnegie Hall, the Arena di Verona, Deutsche Oper Berlin, Teatro Colon in Salzburg, as well as the Edinburgh and Bregenz, in Mexico City and Montreal, in all the major cultural centers in the U.S. — from Baltimore to Florida.
